The Mikaelson siblings didn't always see eye to eye, but will a bigger conflict break the family apart in "The Originals" Season 4? Actor Joseph Morgan recently revealed that the new season will have a lot of blood and betrayal.
Morgan teased his fans about what's going down in "The Originals" Season 4 through video posted on Instagram.
"Someone will be betrayed. There will probably be a staking of some kind or another. Blood will flow. Enemies will become friends, friends will become enemies. Strange and new alliances will be formed," Morgan said what seems to be a fitting official synopsis for "The Originals" Season 4.
"And most of all more than any of that, there will be Klaus," he teased.
In the previous season, Klaus took a major hit after his family was attacked and he had to sacrifice himself. He is staked with Papa Tunde's blade and is held prisoner in Marcel's garden.
So who's likely to betray Klaus and the rest of the family? There are speculations that Kol will be the one to turn his back on their family. He has the best reason to do this: in season 5, his siblings (Elijah, Freya and Klaus) had a hand in Davina's murder. Davina, of course, is basically the love of Kol's life, so forgiving her killers is not something fans can expect from Kol.
There is, however, one sibling Kol can relate to for now, and that's Rebekah.
"Rebekah, like her siblings, has gotten caught up into the unified family takedown and spent five years in an alternate reality and is now back once again with that same choice she always has: What is my life supposed to be outside this crazy family," showrunner Julie Plec told EW about the character's internal struggle.
According to Plec, Kol is starting to ask himself these same questions. The two siblings will be in a way fans haven't seen before, as they try to make sense of all the crazy they've gone and are going through because of their family.
"The Originals" Season 4 is expected to return early in 2017.
