As the release date for the second season of "Attack on Titan" nears, several spoilers have been showing up lately. One of the very recent suggests the killer Titans will finally be able to take down the wall that separates them from humans. In addition, aside from the killer ones, other types of Titans will be introduced in season 2.

If the manga's story is followed, one of the highlights for season 2 would tackle the struggle of Levi on whom he will be saving with the serum. With both Armin and Erwin heavily injured, Levi would give the serum to Armin even though he badly wanted to save Erwin. Knowing Erwin who would willingly sacrifice his life for the sake of other people, he was able to convince Levi to give the serum to Armin.
With this, a new commander would be appointed to lead the troops of soldiers fighting against the Titans. Meanwhile, it can be recalled from the last season that a Titan peeking through the wall was featured in the last episode. Although this may not seem to hint at any future events, majority of news are predicting the origins of Titans will finally be revealed in season 2.
Rumored to be titled as "Basement," the first episode of the upcoming season will unravel several secrets in the story where Eren will be seen coming back to their house and discovering the truth to the many mysteries, Movie News Guide reported.
Last July, it was finally announced that the season 2 of "Attack on Titan" will air in Spring of 2017, Crunchy Roll reported. During the live-reading event at the Tokyo International Forum, voice actors for Eren and Armin and series director Tetsuro Araki announced that the initial plan to launch the second season in 2016 was moved to 2017.
