"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will finally premiere on Oct. 23. Following the premiere, AMC is hosting a 90-minute live discussion on "Talking Dead" that will be attended by 12 cast members.
Along with executive producers Robert Kirkman and Scott M. Gimple, the recap show will feature all the cast members included in the explosive finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 6, Deadline reported. The cast members are Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Michael Cudlitz, Danai Gurira, Sonequa Martin-Green, Josh McDermitt, Chandler Riggs, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, and Jeffery Dean Morgan.
The season six finale of the post-apocalypse TV series ended with a massive cliffhanger, all thanks to the arrival of the menacing villain, Negan (Morgan). Avid fans have spent all season pondering who may perish at the hands of Negan and his infamous barbed-wire-covered baseball bat called Lucille.
However, the identity of the killed-off character has been shrouded in mystery and AMC offered no hints by inviting the 12 cast members in the 90-minute premiere of "Talking Dead." The recap show is reportedly intended to experience, discuss and process the emotional premiere of "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
"As 'The Walking Dead' returns with one of the most powerful and highly anticipated episodes in series history, it feels fitting to literally share this night with the fans whose support have made this show what it is today," AMC president Charlie Collier said in a statement obtained by Variety. "As a fan myself, even I crave a supersized 'Talking Dead' to do what it does best - serve as a focal point for fans."
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will introduce the charismatic leader of the Kingdom, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his pet tiger called Shiva. In the comic, the self-proclaimed King Ezekiel has a strong hatred for Negan and the Saviors, which led him to collaborate with Rick Grimes (Lincoln) to bring down the ruthless and the foul-mouthed villain.
