Song Hye-Kyo, 34, will reunite with her former on-screen lover, Song Joong-Ki, 31, at her upcoming meet-and-greet fan event. The two stars portrayed Doctor Kang Mo Yeon Captain Yoo Si Jin in KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun."
Recently, "That Winter, the Wind Blows" actress revealed through her official fan café that she will hold a meet-and-greet event with fans on Nov. 13, All Kpop reported. The upcoming fan meeting apparently marks Hye-Kyo's 20th-year in the entertainment industry.
In-depth details about the eagerly anticipated fan meeting are being kept under wraps. What is known is that the "Innocent Man" actor, along with Yoo Ah In and Cha Tae Hyun might be one of her special guests.
Not long after the good news came to light, many fans cannot keep their excitement to see the Song-Song couple together again. It has also been 11 years since Hye-Kyo last held a meet-and-greet event.
The actress first gained widespread fame with KBS 2TV's "Autumn in My Heart" (2000) along with Song Seung-Heon and Won Bin. She then starred in another hit television dramas such as 2004's "Full House"," 2008's "The World That They Live In" and 2013's "That Winter, the Wind Blows."
Hye-Kyo experienced a resurgence in her acting career after she took on the lead role in the massive pan-Asia hit drama "Descendants of the Sun." The 16-episode melodrama was unbelievably popular with its final episode recording a 38.8 percent viewership ratings.
In light of Hye-Kyo and Joong-Ki's undeniable on-screen chemistry in "Descendants of the Sun," the Hallyu stars recently received the Best Couple Award at the 2016 APAN Star Awards. The event took place at the MBC Sangam Culture Plaza on Oct. 2, Sunday.
"It is my first time getting the Best Couple Award, it's a pity I was not able to receive this award together with my comrade, Song Hye Kyo," Naver quoted Joong-Ki as saying before a predominantly Korean crowd. "I am here receiving it alone, but I am still very thankful."
