Meizu is rumored to be working on Meizu PRO 6s and Meizu PRO 6 Plus. Fresh information suggests that the latter has been axed.
The Meizu PRO 6 will be an upgrade to Meizu PRO 6, the current flagship device of the company that will feature MediaTek Helio P20 chipset that includes a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor. On the other hand, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus device was expected to come powered by Samsung's Exynos 8890 chipset, but fresh information suggests that the device has been canceled because of technical issues.
According to the statement by Li Nan, the VP of sales and marketing for Meizu, while manufacturing Meizu PRO 6 Plus, the company faced some issues with the chipset and 4G network support. Since the company does not want to release a potentially faulty smartphone in the market, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus has been canceled, Xiaomi Today reported.
The Meizu PRO 6 Plus was expected to arrive with 5.7-inch display. Rumors have it that the Meizu PRO 6s was previously speculated to release as Meizu PRO 7.
Meizu Pro 6s Specifications, Features
The Meizu Pro 6S will be coming with 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with quad HD resolution. The smartphone's MediaTek Helio P20 chipset will be coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The device will come with the inbuilt storage of 32 GB. It will also have support for microSD ard of up to 128 GB, TheDroidReview reported.
The Meizu 6s will sport 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It will include fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will support connectivity for USB 3.1 Type-C port. As mentioned above, the Meizu Pro 6s is expected to release by the end of this month.
Meizu PRO 6 Specifications, Features
The Meizu PRO 6 was launched in April 2016. It has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and customized with 3D Touch display. The device is powered by deca-core processor with MediaTek MT6797T Helio X25 chipset and Mali-T880 MP4 graphics.
The Meizu PRO 6 comes in two internal storage variants of 32 GB and 64 GB and it is loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports 21-inch megapixel rear camera and 5-inch front camera.
The PRO 6 features a fingerprint sensor and is packed with non-removable Li-Ion 2,560 mAh battery. It is available in gray, gold, silver, flame red and rose gold color variants.
