The latest details for "Resident Evil 7" will feature an appearance at New York Comic Con 2016 and the "Kitchen" demo will be available during the PlayStation VR's launch.
Capcom announced that the "Kitchen" demo of "Resident Evil 7" will be available when Sony's releases its upcoming virtual-reality device, the PlayStation VR on Oct. 13 in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Gamers, who pre-ordered that PS VR will have to download the Kitchen demo of "Resident Evil 7" and in addition, users can play it exclusively on the PS VR itself as the main game will be available in January next year, Gamerant reported.
Previous reports revealed that Capcom will have "Resident Evil 7" game be a PS VR exclusive game throughout 2017 and they will not have any plans to port the sequel to other video game platforms for the time being. However, there is still a possibility that the game will be available to other VR gear headsets as the exclusivity window of "Resident Evil 7" to PS VR is only 12 months, and after that gamers will experience it using the Oculus Rift and Vive VR gears.
In other news, Capcom will be in attendance for this year's New York Comic Con event as they will feature playable video game titles such as "Street Fighter 5", "Dead Rising 4" and "Resident Evil 7".
The Japanese game developers are more than happy to share the VR experience of "Resident Evil 7" to the public and will likely reveal more game details about the sequel at the said event. New York Comic-Con 2016 will start on Oct. 6-9 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
The pre-orders for "Resident Evil 7" are now available in the Xbox One console and gamers can either buy the Standard or Deluxe Editions of the game.
Standard Edition features a Survival Pack: Recovery Set add-on which is essentially a collection of in-game items such as a Supply Box containing Herbs, a First Aid Med, and a Strong First Aid Med, as well as a Defense Coin. The add-on also unlocks a new difficulty mode called, "Madhouse" and it can be unlock by finishing the main game. It is the sequel’s highest difficulty .
The Deluxe Edition also comes with the Survival Pack: Recovery Set, as well as the first three downloadable content packages; Four Short Side Stories and two Additional Story Episodes.
PC users can now check the minimum and recommended specs for "Resident Evil 7" PC version in the official Steam page. Note that these specs could be subject to change since the sequel is still under development.
"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 14, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
