The Korean remake of the popular HBO series "Entourage" is just a couple of weeks away. With its looming premiere date, tvN just released the official drama poster and a thrilling first teaser.
On Oct. 6, Thursday, tvN's official YouTube account posted a 2-minute teaser that offers a lens into the realities of a top actor and his entourage of friends, as they explore their way through the entertainment world. The tvN drama is directed by Jang Young-Woo based on a script penned by Seo Jae-Won and Kwon So-Ra.
"Cheese in the Trap" star Seo Kang-Joon is slated to play Cha Young-Bin, a rising actor in South Korea under an entertainment label headed by President Kim Eun-Gab (Cho Jin-Woong). He has been best friends with Cha Joon (Lee Kwang Soo), Lee Ho-Jin (Park Jung Min), and Geobook aka Turtle (Lee Dong-Hwi) since they were young.
While the tvN drama initially aims to stay faithful to the original show, the remake will incorporate several Korean elements to make it more relatable to the local audiences, Soompi reported. The tvN drama is completely pre-produced with the filming began on June 1 in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea and successfully wrapped up in late September.
Choi Myung-Gil, 52, recently shared a group shot of some of the cast members on set to her Instagram account. It is said that they were filming a scene in a club at the time.
