Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has been in the headlines, not only in his country, of international media because of his tough way in dealing with criminality in his nation. His crime fighting toughness is embodied in the free mobile game app "Duterte Fighting Crime 2".
The game was developed by a Filipino developer Anjo Pascual. The goal of the game is to kill the criminals and earn badges and weapons. Duterte will shoot criminals like robbers and drug peddlers. Weapons of higher caliber must be collected in order to defeat tougher criminals.
Gamers can also seek the help of Duterte's allies, the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Police Chief Roland "Bato" Dela Rosa. The two are celebrities on their own like Duterte. When Duterte failed to shoot the criminals and reached him, he will die and the mother of boxer Manny Pacquiao will appear riding a wrecking ball like Miley Cyrus.
The game has garnered up to 5 million installs since the first version was released in March. The game is available in Google Play Store for free.
The game showed a sliver of what seemed to be going on in the Philippines where the death toll is rising and is blamed on Duterte's drug war. Various organizations have criticized the president, but the latter shrugged and cursed at them. The tough-talking president said that no one can tell him how to solve the problems in his own backyard and that he is merely doing his job.
