With WWE's event "Survivor Series" just around the corner, the epic battle between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar is yet to happen. However, Goldberg has not confirmed anything about his return for WWE, he is still expected to show up for a match. For fans around the world, this match-up would be a dream, as the feud between these two superstars has been a long awaited event.
Having Goldberg back to the WWE universe would not only mean a very entertaining event for Survivor Series, but this could also pull some of the old fans back into the show. However, if Goldberg wouldn't be able to go back on November 20, there is also a possibility that his return would be expected at "Wrestlemania 33" instead.
These rumors about his comeback is addressed when he appeared on the ESPN series "Off the Top Rope" on Wednesday night. He is taking his time about considering and deciding his return and just wants to make sure that everything is right before he comes to a final decision for his return, ESPN has learned.
"I'm going to do a lot of soul searching and I'm going to talk to my family to figure out what Goldberg wants to do. At the end of the day, I'm greatly appreciative of all the fans that I was able to acquire over the years. I don't want to bastardize anything I did, let's just put it bluntly. So it's a big decision."
There is a known fact however, that the owner of WWE, Vincent McMahon, doesn't have a good history with Goldberg. Although this is the case, he is still a business man and is open to the idea of the match. Goldberg hasn't wrestled in 12 years and having this opportunity would be the one that the show needs, according to Forbes.
There are many cases that old superstars like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson having a surprising return. Also, Batista did it too back in Royal Rumble 2014. Bringing up these kinds of twists to the flow of the show makes WWE gain constant praise for making the show fresh from time to time.
