Best-selling author Ann Coulter, 54, is one of the supporters of United States presidential candidate Donald Trump, 70. Her book titled "In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!" talks about the former "The Apprentice" host and his campaign for the presidency of the U.S.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Coulter was asked about her opinion on the recent spate of police killings of African Americans who are apparently unarmed or surrendering. She said the position of Trump's rival Hillary Clinton, 68, is to take the side of African American criminals.
On the other hand, Trump's position is that the people who are most victimized by African American criminals are law-abiding African American people, according to Coulter. By taking that message to them, the Republican candidate has been doing very well with the African American people, she added.
Coulter was also asked she believes that is possible for African Americans to be in favor of law and order but against being lethally shot by the police. She said it was a rhetorical question.
"No, I think black people love being shot," Coulter said. "What's the real question?"
On the high-profile cases of police killings, Coulter noted that there have been numerous hysterias that always turn out to be false. As an example, she cited Tamir Rice, 12, who was carrying a toy gun when he has shot dead by two police officers in Cleveland, Ohio.
In another interview with Huffington Post, Coulter said she wanted to explain the Trump phenomenon when asked why she had to write the "In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!" book. The interview was conducted at the "The Roast of Rob Lowe" on Comedy Central, in which she was one of the roasters.
It was revealed that Coulter rejected the jokes written for her and delivered her own instead during the roast. With David Spade as the RoastMaster, the other roasters were Jewel, Pete Davidson, Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, Ralph Macchio, Peyton Manning and Rob Riggle.
