Crystal Palace has remained undefeated in their last five outings after opening the season on a two-game losing skid.
The Eagles managed to hold surprise contenders Everton FC to a 1-1 draw during the previous round on Sep. 30 in a match held at the Goodison Park, as per The Guardian.
Everton drew first blood during the match as Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku buried a curling free-kick in the 35th minute following a high-boot call on Irish defender Damien Delaney.
It was a close match from then on as both sides had several chances but the defenses were able to hold, giving the hosts a one-point lead at the half.
Crystal Palace was able to find the equalizer five minutes after the restart with a perfectly-placed header from Lukaku's Belgium teammate, Christian Benteke, following a corner kick. Benteke jumped higher than Irish defender Seamus Coleman to head the ball away from Toffees goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.
Meanwhile, West Ham United succumbed to a fifth straight winless effort after they were held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted side Middlesbrough at their own home ground of London Stadium on Oct. 1, Daily Mail Online reported.
After a goalless first half of play, the Boro opened the scoring at the 51st minute with a header from Uruguayan forward Cristhian Stuani off a corner kick by Danish winger Viktor Fischer.
The lead was short-lived as French winger Dimitri Payet equalized the count just six minutes later with a sensational move that showcases his dribbling skills.
Although the Hammers failed to secure a win, the draw snapped West Ham's four-game losing slide and is surely a welcome development for head coach Slaven Bilić.
