Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin Chapter 86 dropped a number of truth bombs regarding the history of the world, the war between the Elodia and Mare races and Dr. Grisha Yeager's plot to restore the glory days of the Titan's people.
However, no one will be prepared for what's in store for them in Chapter 87. One thing is certain ahead of the manga series' November release, and that's there will be a dozen more earth-shaking information to be revealed in that chapter.
Here's my list of potential spoilers for the upcoming Shingeki no Kyojin issue.
-Dr. Yeager's journal will narrate the events that happened after their son Zeke exposed the Elodia revivalists along with his parents' role in the organization.
Shingeki no Kyojin has the history of narrating stories of torture, and I feel Grisha had gone through hellish tortures at the hands of Mare officials, breaking not only his body but his spirit as well.
-Dr. Yeager will also explain how he acquires his titan power. In Chapter 86, it's revealed that the Mares plan to infiltrate the walled city in Paradi Island without provoking the Fritz King.
For this operation to materialize, seven healthy Elodian children were picked from the ghettos to become warriors, receiving titan powers along with it. We all know that Zeke was one of the seven children, but how Grisha manage to get his own titan power remains a mystery.
-The journey to Paradi Island. In an island infested with cannibal giants, Grisha's account of his journey to the island and into the walled city sure is intriguing.
-The Reiss-Fritz connection. Again, Chapter 86 provides an important piece of information regarding the true ruler of the wall and the Elodian race. The Fritz, being the descendants of the progenitor titan Ymir Fritz, are the only royalty known to Elodians.
The question now is how in the world the Reiss get their hands on the Coordinate and the throne as well?
-The power of the progenitor Titan. The Coordinate is the much-sought power in the world of the Shingeki no Kyojin. It grants its bearer the power to control other titans and alter the memories of all people of Elodian heritage, except the Orientals and the Ackermans. Nevertheless, it's the power worth dying for.
I feel chapter 86 will reveal the other powers of the Coordinate, and how Eren Yeager fits into the equation.
-Eren's True Identity. Eren Yeager might be the lead character in the series, but his character background remains murky up to now. I bet chapter 87 will reveal who really is Eren and why Dr. Grisha thinks he's the one to save the people of Elodia and the world from destruction. And oh by the way, be prepared for a huge revelation about Eren's true origin. I have a premonition that Yeager was born to be the vessel of the progenitor titan after all.
