"This is Us" shocked many viewers with the big reveal of Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) death. However, details of the character's demise have yet to be disclosed.

Ventimiglia and showrunner Dan Fogelman have teased that the upcoming episodes of the NBC series will soon unveil some interesting information about Jack's story and his death. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ventimiglia acknowledged that Jack's fate may have saddened many fans.

Despite his death, the said character's memory will still live on. Upcoming episodes of the NBC series will still include Jack in flashback scenes and will also unveil details about his death, according to the actor.

Also, Fogelman made a similar comment in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He revealed that Jack's death will be uncovered in two upcoming episodes. Fogelman added, "It's not going to be something that there's an immediate answer for."

Fogelman teased of the changes that will impact Jack and Rebecca's relationship, as well as the Pearsons' family's journey in the show's present timeline. Viewers will soon learn how Jack's demise will affect his loved ones especially his children.

The fate of the Pearsons' patriarchwas revealed in "This is Us" episode 5 titled "The Game Plan," which aired on Oct. 25, Wednesday.

Also revealed in "The Game Plan" was the interesting ways that Jack's family has had to deal with his absence. The said episode gave fans a peek at Jack and Rebecca's (Mandy Moore) life as a newly married couple and their plans to have children.

In the show's present timeline, the story revolved around the couple's children with Kevin (Justin Hartley) playing nanny to Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) kids. It also included Kate's (Chrissy Metz) poignant Sunday tradition that included watching a Steelers game with her father Jack, whose remains are inside an urn.

Many viewers were taken by surprise to learn of the said character's death given the show's unique storytelling strategy. Each "This is Us" episode contained both past and present events, as well as a look at future scenarios. Earlier episodes of the NBC series also did not show any indication that Jack has already died in its present timeline.
