In the previous month, the first Google branded smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL were introduced. Both the models are available unlocked in the U.S. Verizon, the first carrier to sell the Pixel phone in the U.S. is now offering a massive discount of $400 through a trade-in offer.
The Nexus branded smartphones that were sold by Google were manufactured by different companies, but include the Android operating system by Google. However, the hardware and software of the newly launched Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones come from Google.
The Pixel with 32 GB and 128 GB are priced at $649 and $749, respectively. With Verizon, both the models are available with 24 monthly installments of $27.08 and $31.24, respectively.
On the other side, the 32 GB and 128 GB variants of Pixel XL are priced at $769 and $869, respectively. Through Verizon, these variants can be availed with 24 monthly payments of and $32.08 and $36.24.
Verizon Google Pixel, Pixel XL Trade-in Brings $400 Savings
As mentioned above, the trade-in offer from Verizon allows customers to avail up to $400 discount on Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. New customers who are ready to switch Verizon can get a trade-in credit of $400 when they can exchange smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC M9, LG V10, LG G4 and Apple iPhone 6 for buying Pixel or Pixel Xl smartphones.
For existing customers, Verizon is providing a discount of $300 as trade-in amount in exchange of smartphones. The carrier will provide the trade-in amount only on exchanged smartphones that are in working condition.
How to avail $400 trade-in amount?
Customers are required to add Pixel or Pixel XL to the cart along with device payment plan. Next, users to need to click on "trade in old device" to view the device trade-in page. The devices that are eligible for trade-in offer are listed above.
Within 5 days, customers who applied for trade-in offer will get a box to return the old device. For new customers, Verizon will provide a VZW electronic gift card that will arrive within two weeks. Existing customers will be trade-in amount as credit in the first or second billing cycles, GSM Arena reported.
