LG V20 has been released but it has not come out across the world yet which are making some audiophiles anxious to buy the phone.
The new flagship smartphone from LG is expected to reverse their fate after the LG G5 did not fare so well in sales. LG V10 was an unexpected hit in 2015 and now the LG V20 has a lot or hopes riding on it.
LG V20 Specs and Features
One of the highlights of the new LG V20 is the Hi-Fi Quad DAC which is aimed at audiophiles. LG thinks that the Asian market loves the V20 more because of the audio qualities compared to the market in the United States, Forbes has learned.
Since Asian users commute more compared to the average citizen in the U.S., they reportedly appreciate the audio quality more for their headphones and earphones. US users are inclined to driving more and just connecting their phones to the car speakers.
V20 Product Manager Ian Hwang said: "In Asian markets like Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, audio is what's very important for the users, but it doesn't seem so in the U.S. market."
The LG V20 has 135-degree 8MP and 16MP 75-degree lens for the dual camera setup in the rear, NDTV reported. It still has the same 5.7-inch IPS Quantum Display with QHD resolution with also the secondary display for added buttons and information.
Since it has superior audio quality compared to others, it supports different file formats such as FLAC, ALAC, DIFF and DSD for better listening. Audiophiles will be able to tell the difference between their music files' quality if they also have a good headphone or speaker.
LG V20 also has 4GB RAM which is more than enough for multitasking. Users can listen to high quality music while playing their video games while also checking their social media accounts once in a while.
The LG V20 is expected to release in India soon with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It would be the best choice for commuters who want to feel entertained with high quality audio during their long ride to work and back home.
