BLACKPINK is back! YG's new girl group is set to break records as they dropped two new MVs.

YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk stayed true to his words this time and YG's new girl group is back with two new title tracks, "Playing with Fire" and "Stay" to sweep the nation. However, different from their previous debut songs, Boombayah and Whistle, the two new tracks seemed slower and showcased the vocal prowess of the girls, especially Roseanne and Jennie.

Roseanne is the main vocal of the group and has been featured in one of G-Dragon's songs before her debut. Although she has a foreign accent as she grew up in Australia, her unique voice gave color to the group, especially the high notes.

Jennie, on the other hand, seems like the most talented in the group. She was the main rapper, but also the lead vocalist of the group. Although no leader was assigned in the group, it appears that Jennie has a big influence among other members for being the trainee the longest.

It has been seven years since the debut of 2NE1 and YG Entertainment has not debuted any girl group in between. However, 2NE1 was put on a halt after main vocal Park Bom's drug scandal. This led to the departure of maknae Minzy from the group and the label. With three active male groups currently under the agency, YG was in need of a flagship female group.

BLACKPINK debuted on Aug. 8 and dropped two music videos - "BOOMBAYAH" and "Whistle" that received an all-kill status in various music charts. The group is set to release six more songs as part of their debut. BLACKPINK is composed of Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manoban, Kim Jisoo, and Park Roseanne.

Before their debut as YG's next generation of female group, the members increased the hype by appearing in ads and taking individual projects like modeling and music collaboration. Moreover, the dance practice video of the group went viral that showed off their immense talents.
