Then the rapper exploded onto the stage with "Fire," one of the greatest hits of 2NE1, re-arranged for a solo performance. The performance line up was a combination of re-arrangements of 2NE1 hits such as "Can't Nobody," "I Am the Best," "I Don't Care"and "Falling in Love," and solo works by CL like "The Baddest Female," "MTBD," "Dr. Pepper" and "Lifted."

The South Korean rapper has enthralled the Americans and the rest of the world with her swagger and charisma. Her success in the United States could mean that she will follow the footsteps of her label mate PSY in being a South Korean artist that is able to penetrate the international music scene.

Some netizens are reportedly putting the blame of Minzy's departure to 2NE1 leader CL.

According to All KPop Forum, a screenshot of Minzy's friend Ashley Choi and CL fans showed Choi mentioned, "If CL cares a lot for Minzy she would have pushed for Minzy to do more solo work, don't you think?"

Some netizens agreed with this statement of Choi as they think that CL could have done something with Minzy's predicament since the group is in hiatus because of Park Bom's drug scandal. CL is reportedly one of the influential figures inside YG. The singer is one of the cash cows of the company by being a successful solo artist as well as the success of 2NE1. In addition, the company put down their bets on CL and is preparing for her international debut.

Meanwhile, there has been a change of plans and the former 2NE1 maknae is prepping for her new album. After leaving YG Entertainment, Minzy went to Music Works.
