LG V20 has been just recently released in the United States and it seems to be one hell of a phone in terms of its audio and video capabilities.
There are a lot of similarities the LG V20 has with the LG V10 but its differences are a huge leap over the predecessor. For instance, the LG V20 has a Quad DAC setup which means it has four DACs instead of just one inside the LG V10.
Nevertheless, the new flagship smartphone from LG still has more to offer to convince people to upgrade. For one, the secondary screen is now brighter from about 35 nits to more than 60 nits.
LG V20 Specs and Features
The LG V20 still has the same 5.7-inch QHD LCD the LG V10 has although the newer phone has a slightly larger body-to-screen ratio. Another difference is that the LG V20 has a dual camera setup in the rear instead of the front, MSN has learned.
LG still installed a wide-angle front snapper for group selfies but they have shifted the dual camera setup for the rear. The LG V20 now has a 6MP main shooter with f/1.8 aperture while the second camera is an 8MP one with f/2.4 aperture for wide angle shots.
Speaking of the camera, there have been some reports of a possible "Shattergate." Several users have reported that their LG V20 rear camera protective glass shattered even though the device was not dropped, Trusted Reviews reported.
Some users even just placed their phone on a desk and found out later that the glass has cracked. One user left the torch for 30 minutes and later found out that the glass has also cracked on their LG V20.
LG has not yet commented on the Shattergate cases but they seem to be just isolated to a bad batch of manufactured glasses. The device has been out in South Korea for more than a month and there have been no reports of such.
The LG V20 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and claims to be the first phone to do so but that does not seem to be the case in the United States where the Google Pixel phone is now available. A worldwide release is yet to be seen.
