The upcoming Asian Television Awards 2016 became more excited as featured performances from Chinese singer JJ Lin, Indonesia star Rossa and British musician Charli XCX were revealed, Toggle reported.
The Asian Television Awards performance is one of the highlights of the annually held event as guest music acts provide a spectacular entertainment to the nominees and vying participants.
This year, the glitz-and-glam occasion showcasing the finest in the Asian entertainment industry will be held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center on Dec. 2.
The show, embodying the theme #CelebratingAsianTV, will be hosted by some of the brightest stars across the region including Baki Zainal, Stephanie Carrington, Adrian Pang and Alden Richards.
The 21st ATA will hand out accolades to competing artists in the categories Best Drama Series, Best Actor and Actress in a Leading Role and Best Reality Show to name a few.
In 2015, international stars like Jeff Chang, Chu Mi-mi, Ruby Lin, K-pop gour SECRET, Swedish boyband JTR and Indonesian singer Anggun graced the event. Some of the local artists who were present in last year's ATA include PierrePng, Chen Hanwei and Felicia Chin.
First established in 1996, the ATA touts itself as "the Asian TV industry's most significant and celebrated event."
Yearly, the Asian Television Awards venue is being filled with excitement as the whole region puts the spotlight on the people behind excellent homegrown programs, productions and performances. The winners of the prestigious event, participated in by around 1,300 entries for at least 40 categories annually, are determined by a panel of over 60 judges and by online voters.
Apart from receiving entries from various broadcasters, which range from free-to-air television networks to pay-TV media, the awards also attract a sizable participation from several independent production outfits across the continent.
