New details and spoilers for "Sword Art Online" season 3 a will feature a cast and release date announcement next year and the anime's possible plot.
Japanese composer and music producer Yuki Kajiura will be utilizing music from "Sword Art Online" for her very first solo concert performance in Hollywood, California. Rumor has it that her concert will serve as a way for producers of the "Sword Art Online" anime to announce its third season, as well as introducing the cast members of the live-action version of the anime.
The "Yuki Kajiura LIVE featuring Sword Art Online" concert will be on Jan. 14, 2017 at the at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood & Highland, FX News Call reported.
In other news, it seems that the possible plot details for "Sword Art Online" season 3 have been revealed.
"SAO" anime producer Shinichiro Kashiwada stated in an interview that he would like to see Kirito and the rest of 'SAO' characters featured in the "Alicization" arc since the storyline has not yet incorporated in the anime show.
However, Kashiwada mentioned that the "Progressive" novels could also be implemented in season 3, speculating that both storylines will be featured within the show, Anime News Network reported.
The "Sword Art Online Progressive" novels is a reboot of the original light manga illustrated by Himura Hiseki and was published by Dengeki G's Comics after they parted ways with the main magazine branch.
The "Alicization" arc on the other hand, will feature a new chapter involving Kirigaya Kazuto/Kirito's new job for a mysterious organization called Rath, under orders the VR Crime Division officer Kikouka Seijiro. Kirito will be testing out a new experimental 4th generation FullDive machine dubbed "Soul Translator" as he tries to observes its effects on people and gather more valuable data.
However, Kirito is not aware that Rath is using "Soul Translator" for military purposes. As the machine became compliant, it created a new virtual world called "Underworld", where in time there is a thousand times faster than the real world. At some point Kirito became trapped in Underworld and will live eleven years of his life as a child.
The "Sword Art Online" anime series has not been cancelled or renewed for a season 3 as far as the showrunners are concerned. Several speculation revealed that "Sword Art Online" season 3 could be in production after "Ordinal Scale" movie, while others believed it could air after the "SAO" live-action series.
Anime fans will have to wait for more details on "Sword Art Online" season 3 sometime next year.
