The latest details for "Injustice 2" will feature a guest character from "Mortal Kombat" and new DC characters possibly joining the roster.
It seems that new set of DC characters that are rumored to join "Injustice 2's" roster very soon.The sequel already announced eleven DC heroes and villains in the roster such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
Now the new set of characters includes Booster Gold, Vixen, Lady Shiva, Black Alice, Matter-Eater Lad, Zoom, Grail and Doctor Manhattan, Nerdist reported.
Other DC characters such as Swamp Thing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Red Hood, John Constantine, Black Canary, The Atom, Ra's al Ghul and Captain Cold are also hinted to join "Injustice 2's" growing rosters.
Aside from new DC characters, game producer Ed Boon teased a "Mortal Kombat" character coming to"Injustice as a guest fighter. Boon stated in an interview that that there is a certain novelty into it and there is a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have.
Boon cited Scorpion's guest appearance in the first "Injustice", which became the most downloaded character of them all, not to mention the popularity of Alien and Predator inn"Mortal Kombat X" which made the game more interesting, Game Informer reported.
Previous reports revealed that "Injustice 2" could be delayed on its release date next year due to the apparent strike among voice cast members in the upcoming sequel, affecting the game's production timeline and launch date plans. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists went on strike to demand changes to a two-decade-old contract.
It is speculated that "Injustice 2" will be release on March 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and quite possibly the PC platforms. However, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. did not reveal any information yet regarding the strike and how will it affect the game's overall development plans and release date. In addition, the game will also be available on mobile phones via iOS and Android.
"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
