Apple has started preparing to ship some of the very first batch of MacBook Pro pre-orders as early as Nov. 11. Some pre-order customers reported an update on their pre-order status showing "preparing for shipment".
Apple unveiled their new range of MacBook Pro laptops comprising of three models on Oct. 27. Two of which are 13-icnh and the one is 15-inch. Each model comes with a Touch Bar screen that replaces the function keys. TouchID integrated with the power button can be used for Apple Pay. Flaunting either a shiny silver or space gray exterior, Apple MacBook Pro is promoted as "the thinnest ever MacBook" which is 20 percent smaller in volume than the previous models.
Price for these new laptops starts from $1,884 and company started to take pre-orders starting from the announce date itself, The Telegraph shared. Estimated shipping time for the Apple MacBook Pro was Nov. 15 to 22 which means it takes almost 2 to 3 weeks for the order to reach your doorstep.
Today, some customers shared the news of the change in the status of their pre-orders from "processing" to "preparing for shipment," which Apple typically does when the shipment is ready for delivery for next day, 9To5Mac reported. Few of the first pre-orders for Apple MacBook Pro customers have got an earlier estimated shipping date on Nov. 11 and rest of the customers have later dates as Apple pushed back the delivery estimate time from 2 -3 weeks to 4-5 weeks just after online ordering goes live.
It is not common for Apple to send notifications to customers in relation to improved shipping estimates for orders. Customers can only login to their Apple Account or Apple Store application to check the expected delivery dates. In addition to this, Apple started debiting credit cards for some MacBook Pro pre-orders gesturing that orders are ready for shipment.
From this new update, it is for sure that the first MacBook Pro with Touch Bar will be in available in the market as soon as this week itself where next-day or weekend delivery is possible.
