The South Korean boy band B.A.P. recently reclaimed its title as the Kpop group with the most number of number 1 albums on Billboard's World Album list. With the band's second full-length album titled "Noir," B.A.P. even surpassed BTS' "Wings" on the said chart.
B.A.P's new album "Noir" recently debuted on Billboard's World Album chart and nabbed the top spot for the week period covering Nov. 26, according to Billboard. The Kpop group's latest album sold around 1,000 copies during its second week on the market.
With the six-member group's latest Billboard accomplishment, B.A.P. regained its honor of having the highest number of Kpop albums that reached the top spot on the World Album chart. Previously, the title was given to GOT7 for having three number one albums on the said chart.
Given "Noir's" current chart placement, B.A.P. relinquished its title with four number one albums on the Billboard World Album list. The Kpop boy band's first album "First Sensibility" also landed on the said Billboard list's top spot, as well as "Badman" and "One Shot" which ruled the chart in August 2013 and March 2013, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Kpop group's new album even bested other South Korean groups such as Black Pink's extended play titled "Square Two," BTS' hit album "Wings," as well as EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama! The 1st Mini Album." Black Pink's album nabbed the second place at Billboard's Worlds Album, while BTS landed at number three and EXO-CBX at number eight.
In other news, B.A.P. was one of the big winners during the 2016 Asia Artist Awards. Held in Seoul on Nov. 16, Wednesday, the Kpop boy band received the Best Entertainer Award, along with the group MAMAMOO, according to Korean news outlet TV Daily.
