Arkane Studios reveals their Play Your Way philosophy, how they applied it to "Dishonored 2," and introducing new options next month. The Steam beta update is now available for the testers to download.
According to the official website of Bethesda, the game's lead designer Dinga Bakaba said that their studio has the philosophy of Play Your Way. However, he made it clear that the game they were designing had to be real because they do not want it to be embellished with something misleading.
At its core, the current sequel is a stealth game, just like the first one. This time around, it offers more freedom of choice to the players and not just because it has two players. This video game title now has other options to finish the game like nonlethal methods, which allows them to make their own improvements along the way.
Creative director Harvey Smith said that some players want to move through the game like a shadow, without disturbing the guards or anybody else. There are others who want to leave bloody corpses and body parts along the way. He also said that they want to support both fantasies for them so that everyone can enjoy it at their own pace.
"Dishonored 2" will get a new update next month, which will introduce more options for players to play their own way. Arkane Studios will be introducing the New Game + mode in the upcoming free update, and it will have new custom difficulty settings. The studio promised to reveal more details on the content and the release date in the next few weeks.
