H.O.T.'s Moon Hee Jun shocked the entire Kpop Entertainment industry when he suddenly announced his marriage to Crayon Pop's Soyul. Fans were stunned as well as the two are an unlikely pair and there is quite a big age gap.
On Nov. 25, the first generation idol Jun published a letter for his fans. He wrote a page of sincere handwritten letter, telling fans about his plans of tying the knot on February 2017, Xports News reported.
Jun's agency, Koen Stars, confirmed that the 38-year-old singer is now engaged to the 25-year-old Soyul by releasing a statement:
"They will be getting married around February of next year. They have known each other for two years, and began dating in April," Korea Joongang Daily quoted the agency representative as saying. "They decided to get married due to their trust and commitment to each other."
The Crayon Pop singer also released a handwritten letter which was posted on her group's Daum fan cafe. Her international fans translated the letter and published the message on Crayon Pop's Facebook fan page.
Part of Soyul's message reads, "I've met somebody who loves me and holds me dear and we will be marrying." She added that she knows it is so sudden but she pondered on her decision a lot. In the end, she is asking fans for support and blessings for her upcoming wedding.
Jun is also hoping that his fans, who have been supporting him for a long time now, would understand. He also told fans how much they mean to him and stressed that they would always come first for him. However, he is now an adult and ready to start a family so he wish they would accept this reality.
On the other hand, as the announcement was very unexpected, rumors start to spread online. Some sources were speculating that Soyul might be pregnant already, thus it would be a shotgun wedding in February next year.
This rumor was immediately denied by Soyul's agency by stating that the two were just really in love. They also made the request not to speculate false stories because this should be a good time for both Jun and Soyul.
