There are a ton of applications that one can download from the App Store to fill up those new iPhone devices -- some are new while others have been around for some time now but are still widely used by Apple fans. The application ecosystem of the iOS is so diverse that there is an app for almost every activity that one can think of. The most common ones are for work, entertainment, and photography-related activities.

For Work

The Waze navigation app is a great tool for those who travel around often. It is very helpful while on the road, even for non-work related driving. For those who would rather not drive, then the Uber and Lyft rideshare apps are great options. 

Meanwhile, Evernote is a virtual notebook that one can carry around everywhere. It can be used for jotting down everything important, such as points discussed at the meeting, great ideas for the next project, or drafts for a report. On the other hand, Spendee can help in managing personal finances and in monitoring cash flow until the next payday.

Gaming enthusiasts, specifically Dark Knight fans, can spend long hours playing "Beat the Bat," while "Pokemon Go" are for the more adventurous types of iOS users.    

There are also other entertainment apps for different moods. Kindle is rated as one of the best ebook reading apps; Spotify makes everything better with its music streaming service; and the Pacemaker can make anybody a touchscreen DJ.

Every special moment should be captured and immortalized, digitally.  Boomerang can take 10-shot burst photos and compile them to a 1-second video. VSCO Cam lets photography enthusiasts have complete control of every aspect of the photo before they take the shot, like shutte speed, ISO, and white balance.

Black is a photo-editing application that specializes in black and white photography, and it comes with 10 filters. Adobe Photoshop Fix, meanwhile, is a mainstay for every photographer. On the other hand, users who prefer their images to have a touch of van Gogh or da Vinci in them can try out Prisma.

All the mentioned apps are free to download at the App Store, but some would require payment for additional functions and features. These are just a handful of what is available in Apple's digital store and there are still a lot more for almost every need.
