In a dramatic turn of events, Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina's partner, has checked himself into rehab. The extreme step has been taken as the 25-year-old ranted incoherently and threatened to kill himself during an interview with psychologist, Dr Phil McGraw.
It was reported earlier that Gordon had declared that he is ready to disclose details of the fateful evening that led to Kristina's present state with Dr. Phil. The interview soon turned out be a mission by Dr. Phil and Gordon's mother to save him as he appeared on the verge of suicide.
Dr. Phil also asserted the same saying that if left unattended, "Gordon would be dead within the week," Daily Mail reported. The eventful and dramatic intervention will be aired on Dr. Phil's show on March 11.
Gordon's mother Michelle, who gave a surprise appearance in the interview, also convinced Gordon to seek help. "Nicholas is at breaking point," said Michelle. "He cannot take too much more of not being able to see Krissi. He blames himself."
Gordon was reportedly adopted by Houston and was quite close to her and Kristina. Soon after Houston's untimely tragic death in 2012, Gordon and Kristina declared themselves as husband and wife and announced their love for each other.
On Jan 31, Kristina was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her house under mysterious circumstances. Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, soon flown in and is present at her bedside since the tragedy. She is on a life support system and is fighting for her life.
Ever since the tragedy struck the family, there has been reportedly an ongoing feud between Gordon and Brown. The latter has banned Gordon anywhere near Kristina, unless and until he discloses in details 'hows and whys' of the fateful evening.
Meanwhile, Gordon's presence on social media increasingly became ambiguous and erratic. He often used to rant about his helplessness to meet Kristina. As her 22nd birthday approached, his tweets sounded more and more depressed and frustrated.
