Liverpool snapped an 11-game unbeaten streak with a 3-4 upset loss to middling squad Bournemouth on the road at the Vitality Stadium last Sunday, as per the Independent.
The Reds scored two quick goals in the first half, courtesy of forwards Sadio Mane and Divock Origi in the 20th and 22nd minutes, as head coach Jürgen Klopp's side looked headed to another routine win.
Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson trimmed the gap to one point with a penalty kick in the 56th minute, but Liverpool immediately answered back in the 64th with a goal by Emre Can for a 3-1 lead.
However, the Cherries pulled off a stunning comeback by scoring three goals in the last 14 minutes. Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser, Steve Cook, and Nathan Ake scored one goal each in the 76th, 78th, and 90th+3 minutes to beat the powerful visitors.
Meanwhile, West Ham United was crushed by second-place squad Arsenal, 1-5, at the London Stadium last Saturday for the team's fifth consecutive winless performances, The Sun reported.
Mesut Özil scored the lone goal in the first half to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break. Alexis Sanchez then ran riot in the second half by netting a hat trick in the 72nd, 80th, and 86th minutes.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had a goal in the 84th minute to complete the Gunners' five-goal haul while West Ham striker Andy Carroll netted a consolation goal in the 83rd.
The Hammers are currently in the 17th spot of the 20-team English top flight table, only one point above the bottom three relegation zone.
