Celta Vigo has lost only once in their last six games to climb to the ninth spot of the current Spanish top flight table. The team is tied on points with eight-place team Eibar but has a lesser goal difference. They are two points below the Europa League qualifying berths for next season currently held by Villarreal and Real Sociedad.

In their most recent fixture last Sunday, Os Célticos was held to a high-scoring 3-3 draw by Real Betis on the road at the Benito Villamarín Stadium for their second drawn match in the last six rounds, as per Football España.

Spanish striker Iago Aspas scored a brace in the 15th and 61st minutes to lead head coach Eduardo Berizzo's squad during the match while teammate Facundo Roncaglia netted one in the 85th to complete the team's three-goal haul.

However, Real Betis also scored three goals in the contest, courtesy of Ruben Castro, Antonio Sanabria, and German Pezzella in the 41st, 53rd, and 73rd minutes respectively, to salvage the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, contending team Sevilla has lost twice in their last five matches to fail to overtake defending champions Barcelona for the second spot in the overall standings.

Los Rojiblancos are currently third, only a point behind Barça and two points ahead of fourth-running squad Atletico Madrid.

The Sevillistas are coming off a stunning 1-2 upset loss to erstwhile cellar-dwellers Granada on the road at the Los Cármenes Stadium last Saturday, via Sporting Life.

Granada scored the first two goals of the contest in the 27th and 56th minutes with strikes from Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira and Spanish defender David Lomban to surprise head coach Jorge Sampaoli's side.

Sevilla managed to avoid a shutout with an injury time goal by French winger Wissam Ben Yedder, but it was too late for the visitors to complete their comeback.
