"South Park" Season 21 has been confirmed after a relatively controversial Season 20 for creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Along with its entailed ending are debates and comments regarding how the show performed this 2016.

"South Park" Season 20 ended with an episode title, "The End of Serialization As We Know It." This particular episode along with the rest of the episodes of Season 20 has been quite controversial following its portrayal of the real world US presidential election. With the end of Season 20, various comments and criticism proliferated online. DenOfGeek in one of their reviews hailed Season 20 of "South Park" as one the best ever made. The show managed to present the harms of trolling and the presidency under Trump's administration. The show in totality has been defined by its unpredictability, flexibility, and willingness to try different things.

However, despite the praises being attributed to the previous season of "South Park," some critics still feel that Season 20 was a failure. Esquire in their review titled, "South Park's 20th Season Was a Failure. Trey Parker and Matt Stone Know It," highlighted the defeat of the show during the season finale. For critics, the season 20 of "SP" was "half-thoughts" and "glimmers of brilliance" that never materialized in its fullness.

That being the case, some viewers took to the web their thoughts about "South Park." While others expressed boredom halfway through the season, others simply categorized Season 20 as something of extremely poor quality.

With all these comments and criticism being highlighted and somehow communicated to the creators, drastic changes in "South Park" Season 21 are to be expected. Guess we would just have to wait for its debut next year to notice the improvements being developed.
