Everton last tasted a victory six rounds ago, a 2-0 victory over West Ham in late October. The team has now dropped to the ninth spot in the English top flight table from as high as the top four position, 10 points behind the final Champions League qualifying berth currently held by Manchester City.

The Toffees were nipped by middling squad Watford, 2-3, in their most recent game last Saturday at the Vicarage Road, as per The Guardian.

Romelu Lukaku opened the game's scoring in the 17th minute for head coach Ronald Koeman's side before Watford forward Stefano Okaka was able to level the count with a back-heel shot in the 36th.

The Hornets grabbed the lead with a 59th-minute goal from Sebastian Prödl before Okaka buried his second goal of the game in the 64th to make it a 3-1 lead for the hosts.

Everton was able to score a consolation goal with four minutes left before full-time as Lukaku also netted his second one of the contest.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has been undefeated since their opening day loss to Liverpool. They are only three points behind current league leaders Chelsea after 15 rounds of Premier League competitions.

The Gunners thrashed Stoke City, 3-1, last Saturday at the Emirates Stadium for their third straight win, the Telegraph reported.

Stoke City scored the first goal of the match in the 29th minute with a penalty kick from midfielder Charlie Adam.

Theo Walcott then equalized the match in the 42nd minute before Mesut Özil and Alex Iwobi netted one goal each in the second half to seal the win for head coach Arsene Wenger's squad.
