"Dragon Ball Super's" 70th episode may be unprecedented since this could probably be the first time in "Dragon Ball's" long history that Son Goku and the rest of the crew played competitive sports.
Universe 6's god of destruction, Lord Champa might have gotten too envious with his slimmer kin, Lord Beerus from all the delicious stuff that the latter has been chowing down in the universe that he's lording over. Hence, the in an attempt to take away such treats from his brother, Champa challenged Beerus in a baseball match albeit the fact that he doesn't have the slightest idea about the sport, according to Attack of the Fanboy.
The two then chose as to who will play for them. Beerus, of course, picked Son Goku, Piccolo, Son Gohan, Kid Trunks, and guest player Yamcha to be his champions. Champa, on the other hand, got Vegeta, Son Goten, Botamo, Cabba, and Magetta as his batting battlers.
As the game began, it looks like Champa is not the only one who's not familiar with the sport. Right before Son Goku took his first pitch, he turned himself into a blue-haired Super Saiyan and threw the ball packed with high amounts of energy. From there, the match became weirder by the minute until it came to a point where Champa and Beerus took it to themselves and threw punches towards each other before Whis and Vados pacified the two.
In the end, Beerus' team won the match as the badly beaten Yamcha reached the final base. Champa then headed back to his universe preparing for the next face-off.
Meanwhile, the hilarity of episode 70 whose entire episode was posted at Dragon Ball Time will soon change as the sneak preview for the succeeding episode to be dubbed "The Death of Goku! The Guaranteed Assassination Mission" will feature Son Goku getting killed by the alien assassin named Hit. Moreover, the short clip caught a glimpse of a laughing blue-skinned alien dressed in suit alongside a couple of his cohorts both wearing masks. Having that said, this will mark the beginning of a whole new saga as the Z-Warriors figure out who killed their beloved friend.
