The latest details and spoilers for the "Power Rangers" reboot film will feature Rita Repulsa as the Green Ranger and Lord Zedd's appearance in the movie.
It seems that the rumors surrounding Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) as a former ranger in the "Power Rangers" reboot has been confirmed as TheWrap reporter Umberto Gonzales that Rita is a former Green Ranger who has gone and searches for the Zeo crystal the source of power for the Power Rangers.
Reddit username The_AtomBomb first speculated that Rita Repulsa is a formerly the Green Ranger due to the striking similarities of her outfit to the five main Power Rangers.The Reddit user added a photo of an edited version of the Pink Ranger costume to support the claim.
It is also speculated that Rita will also have her own Zord to fight the rangers, possibly the film's versionof the Dragon Zord.
There is also changes in Zordon's (Bryan Cranston) as well, as the latter is depicted as a former ranger, particlularly the Red Ranger. The Zeo crystal in the film reboot is an artifact that channels the Morphing Grid, a dimension that weaves through all things and what gives the Power Rangers their power. The crystal was hidden on Earth to keep it out of the hands of those who would use it as a weapon. The Zeo Crystal is protected by a force field. Anything that comes in contact with it is vaporized.
In order to obtain the crystal, Rita will need Goldar's help as was created with a single purpose, to penetrate the force field and steal the crystal. Rita must deliver them to her new master Lord Zedd, who is a major villains within the "Power Rangers" mythos, MovieWeb reported.
The plot of the "Power Rangers" reboot will center on five teenagers who are chosen as earth's defenders but must overcome there issues and work as a team.
The first of these is Jason, the Red Ranger (Dacre Montgomery), who in the reboot was a football legend in his school, until one fateful mistake changed his life. Jason seeks redemption and is struggling to find himself, until he leads an unlikely group of teenagers as superheroes and must rise to the challenge to lead them.
Next is Kimberly, the Pink Ranger (Naomi Scott) is once a popular girl in her school, but has been cast out of the popular friends and is now struggling to find her identity. She has a new "rebel without-a-cause", edgy attitude, but this is a front is to hide her vulnerability.
Billy, the Blue Ranger (R.J. Cyler) is a smart and sweet boy who has hard time making friends due to his lack of social and communication skills. He is constantly being bullied, until he made connections to other four teenagers who gave him a chance know people like never before.
Trini, the Yellow Ranger (Becky G.) is mysterious "new girl" in Angel Groove as her parents constantly move from town to twon due their work. She is considered a "lone wolf", self-sufficient and contemplative, but always observant. In truth she longs to find her own group of friends, even tho she does not admit it.
Lastly, Zack, the Black Ranger (Ludi Lin) has a tough and cool exterior filled with confidence and swagger. However, he has deep layers to his personality that makes him feel inferior to others.
The "Power Rangers" reboot will be in cinemas on March 24, 2017.
