Another star-studded South Korean drama is set to premiere on KBS namely the historical series "Hwarang." Recently, the drama's cast members Park Seo Joon, BTS' Tae Hyung, Park Hyung Sik, Shinee's Min Ho shared their thoughts about the production and revealed interesting details about their co-stars.
"Hwarang" aims to capture the hearts of avid South Korean drama lovers with its star-studded cast that consists of several singer-actors from various Kpop groups. BTS, ZEA and Shinee fans will soon get the chance to see Tae Hyung, Hyung Sik and Min Ho on the small screens, alongside "She Was Pretty" actor Seo Joon, Do Ji Han, Go Ara and other celebrities.
In a recent interview with High Cut magazine, as cited by Korea Herald, "Hwarang" cast members talked about their experiences working alongside each other and even disclosed a few secrets. Shinee's Min Ho was identified as the best drinker among the core cast members, followed by Seo Joon, Cho Yoon Woo and ZEA singer Hyung Sik, according to Ji Han.
Min Ho also gushed over Hyung Sik and described him as a trustworthy friend and reliable colleague. The Shinee band member even teased that he would have introduced the ZEA singer to his sister if he had one.
Meanwhile, BTS group member Tae Hyung admitted that he had a hard time adjusting to his new career as an actor. However, "Hwarang" co-star Seo Joon served as a good mentor and imparted great acting tips, according to the singer.
"She Was Pretty" actor Seo Joon also conveyed his hopes for the KBS production's success and stated that he wanted the historical drama to serve as one of his memorable projects. As for Hyung Sik, he commented on the cast members' chemistry and camaraderie on-set.
In other news, "Running Man" star Lee Kwang Soo will make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming KBS series. The "Entourage" actor will play Ah-Ro's (Ara) older brother and Moo Myung (Seo Joon) close friend in "Hwarang," according to Korean news outlet Chosun.
"Hwarang" tells the story of an elite group of young men training to become great warriors. The KBS production will premiere on Dec. 19, Monday. Watch the trailer below:
