Square Enix has announced that the first downloadable content of "Final Fantasy XV will be released in late December. A new game update will be coming soon as well.
According to the official Japanese website of the video game, the first DLC package will be released on Dec. 22 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. It will have two separate DLC versions, which are the Holiday Pack Free Version and the Holiday Pack + version.
The Holiday Pack + will be reserved for players who have purchased the Season Pass. It will include several useful accessories that will boost their stats like item drop rate, or lower stamina consumption. It will also include a ticket to the carnival, which will be held in-game in January.
For the specific inclusions, the Holiday Pack + will contain the ring of protection, command booster for Noctis, phantom booster for Noctis, Paean of the Instant Kill and the Paean of Battle Skill. It will also include the Good Luck Key, Stamina Anchor for Noctis, the Carnival Style costume for Noctis, a new Photo Phrame, and the Limited-time carnival ticket +.
The Holiday Pack Free Version will be released for free to everyone who has purchased the video game. It will include some accessories, and a carnival ticket of its own, which looks the same with the Holiday Pack +.
The free version of the Holiday Pack contains only a few contents. It has the Level Limiter, the Paean of Annihilation, the Moogle Chocobo T-shirt and hat for Noctis, and the limited-time carnival ticket.
The game company announced that there will be a game update coming together with the free DLC. It will include the new game plus feature, which lets players use a save game after clearing the game and lets them restart from the beginning of the story. It will also add new frames to pictures shared on social networks.
In other "Final Fantasy XV" related news, the first DLC to be released for Season Pass owners will be Episode Gladiolus. According to the official website of the PlayStation Store, it will contain several scenes that will focus on the party member and it will also bring back one of the classic antagonists in game franchise: Gilgamesh.
