Before Season 2 got released, "Street Fighter 5" got a big update. The update features Akuma as part of the character pass for 2017.
According to VG 24/7, the patch notes are leaked by the "Street Fighter 5" beta branch on Steam, and it will feature a lot of new features. First of all, the game will now support Direct Input controllers and it can be found in Options under the Other Settings section. Furthermore, players can now select their preferred music in Training and Versus modes. The same applies in both Casual and Ranked matches.
Also, Fighter Profiles have been updated and fixed in order to improve accessibility and usability. The most important part of the update is its updated Rage Quit system, which aims to significantly decrease the rate of rage quitting in Ranked matches. Players who quit in the middle of matches will lose some League Points as well as getting banned from online matchmaking for a set time.
In addition, players who disconnect from matches will now be matched with players that do the same. Similarly, the players with minimal disconnection rates will be paired to similar players. The most humiliating aspect of the Rage Quit system is the player profile icons, as the worst offenders will have a special icon on their Fighter Profiles which indicates that they are, in fact, rage quitters.
Meanwhile, according to PvP Live the patch notes for the Season 2 update of "Street Fighter 5" has been released. The article gives a detailed list of the general changes that come with the update, as well as the character-specific balancing and tweaks that ensure a more fun and competitive environment for the game.
Generally, a lot of characters' general attacks were adjusted. The reason behind this is the fact that a number of characters are able to attack more often and had longer reach, making them much stronger. As such, the Season 2 update has corrected many of the general attacks for all characters.
"Street Fighter 5" is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
