"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 episode 8 titled "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics" aired on ABC on Dec. 6. Written by Brent Fletcher and directed by Garry Brown, the next episode titled "Broken Promises" will air on Jan. 10, 2017.
Those who are rooting for Daisy "Skye" Johnson (Chloe Bennet) would be glad to know that she could become the new director and fulfill her comic book destiny. After outing herself as a hero to the public accidentally, it is necessary for her to get comfortable being in the limelight.
According to executive producer Jed Whedon, there were small hints in the previous episodes. One of them, he said, was when Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) considered Daisy and her ability to play more of a leadership role.
"We'll see how it goes, and where the story takes her," Entertainment Weekly quoted Whedon as saying. "She's been through a lot so that usually turns someone from a rookie into a seasoned veteran, which is what you need to lead. We'll see if she steps up to the plate."
The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have their strangest phenomenon yet in "Broken Promises" as they encounter Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna). In a recent event, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actor Lorenzo Henri shared some spoilers about the return of Luna's character.
"They are on a winter break right now," Comic Book quoted the actor who plays Robbie Reyes's little brother Gabe in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as saying. "But all I know is, I'm pretty sure it's not the end for Ghost Rider. I know they have some things up their sleeves. It's gonna be sick."
Moreover, the team will face the anti-Inhuman Watchdogs who are gaining political influence with Senator Ellen Nadeer (Parminder Nagra). Aida (Amanda Rea) replaced Melina May (Ming-Na Wen) with a Life Model Decoy after kidnapping her and the team has no idea about her evil plans for them and for May.
"Broken Promises" will also introduce a new character named Zach Bynum to be played by "Days of Our Lives" alum Bryan Keith. Watch the trailer for the episode here:
