Speculations are rife that "Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring" may release together. It is also rumored that the much-delayed book "Winds of Winter" is currently being proof-read.
After being proof-read, the much-anticipated book "Winds of Winter" may be ready for publishing. Hence, it may be released in January 2017.
One of the reasons attributed for the delay in releasing "Winds of Winter" was that the author George R. R. Martin was working simultaneously on "Winds of Winter" as well as "A Dream of Spring." He also needed to re-work the plot of "Winds of Winter" a little as the TV adaptation of the book series "Game of Thrones" revealed a number of spoilers in their last season.
This did not go well with Martin. He felt that the plot of "Winds of Winter" was not thrilling enough so he added a few more elements into the the much-anticipated book.
In the Question and Answer session at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, Martin revealed a few critical details about "Winds of Winter." The book will be packed with a number of dark elements and will also feature some tragic death sequence of the central characters, Entertainment Weekly quoted him as saying.
Martin is well aware of the anxious wait of the fans for the last two books of the "A Song of Ice & Fire." The first and second book in this series were "A Game of Thrones" and "A Clash of Kings" and they were released in 1996 and 1998 respectively. The third and fourth book in the series in the series were "A Storm of Swords" and "A Feast for Crows," which were released in 2000 and 2005 respectively.
The fifth and the last book to be released was "A Dance with Dragons," which hit the shelves in 2011. Since the last five years, readers have been waiting impatiently for "Winds of Winter," according to iDigital Times. Martin did manage to keep the interest of the readers alive by releasing a few sample chapters pertaining to Ariyana from the upcoming book.
