Retro gamers who missed their favorite genetically enhance bandicoot in the modern gaming platforms would need to wait for just a few months to play the remastered version of the "Crash Bandicoot" trilogy as it is expected to be out in the market soon
Brazilian online retailer ZilionGames has listed the "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane" remastered trilogy for PlayStation 4. The game, which will include "Crash Bandicoot," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot: Warped," will be released on Feb. 28, 2017 , WWG has learned.
Usually, video games in the United States tend to be released on Tuesdays like the said "Crash Bandicoot" trilogy release date. The date may be just a place-holder and it is Activision or Sony which will announce the official release date of the sought-after "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane" trilogy.
Rumors suggest the release of the game would be the first quarter in 2017 with the earliest in February, "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane" can already be pre-ordered for the price of $40 in Amazon.PC Advisor reported.
According to Vicarious Visions, the game is not a remake but a remaster plus. The developer of the game explained that they had trouble remastering the game in the traditional way with the original code and assets, which are roughly 20 years old, are "nearly unusable" in today's technology.
Like the original game, the "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane" trilogy has the same bright colors and the characters were rebuilt based on the original designs. Meanwhile, new features are added in the game as a new unified checkpoint and save game system are made. A unified menu system will be seen in the remastered version including time trials in all the three iterations.
