It is still the holiday season and one of the few things to do to spend that hard-earned cash is to invest in Apple's paid apps. Here are the top 10 paid apps in the App Store, and some will not even cost you a dollar:

1. "Assassin's Creed Identity"

For those who are looking for some thrill, players can get in the character of Ezio of this action-adventure game that was released in February 2017. The Ubisoft-developed game costs just $0.99 with it being on sale for 80 percent off on a limited time.

2. "Heads Up"

The game, which is the mobile version of the game Ellen Degeneres plays on her talk show, is a perennial spot holder in the list of top paid apps. Players can enjoy this game with friends in parties and get-togethers and it only costs $0.99.

3. "Minecraft"

This sandbox building game by Mojang is considered an essential for every iPhone gamer. "Minecraft" is an endless game where players can build small houses to towering skyscrapers. It is now available for the Apple TV and it costs $6.99, according to The Verge.

4. "NBA 2K17"

Players can bring their inner-LeBron James on the go with the mobile version of this critically acclaimed basketball game. The game sells for $2.99.

5. "Alto's Adventure"

Considered as one of the most beautiful games in smartphones, "Alto's Adventure" is an endless snowboarding journey where players control Alto in navigating between mountains and terrains. The game costs just $0.99 with it being included in Apple's 2016 Holiday Promotion.

6. "Octodad"

Another game included in Apple's 2016 Holiday Promotion is "Octodad" which sells for $0.99. The game is about destruction, deception and fatherhood and the players control Octodad, an octopus camouflaged as a man.

7. "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic"

Despite being released just a week ago, "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" is already one of the top paid Apple apps. The game is throwback of Atari's classic game and it sells for $5.99.

8. "Geometry Dash"

This is a rhythm-based action platform game developed by RobTop Games AB. It costs $0.99.

9. "Moji Maker"

From the name itself, "Moji Maker" is the app where buyers can customize or create the emojis they want for their iPhones. Like "Geometry Dash," it also costs $0.99.

10. "Mini Metro"

With this strategy game, players need to connect subway stations and improve transit systems to make the best commute. It only sells for $0.99.
