Why no "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 73 on Jan. 1, 2017?

Fuji TV is set to air "Blessing 50th anniversary! Hatsumakui It is! LOL smile hit parade 2017" on Jan. 1, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 9:52 a.m. (Japan Time).

The New Year's Day special show that airs instead of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 showcases a lively show and it promises laughter at the beginning of 2017. From the top entertainers to the big priest, they all will be a part of the 50th anniversary.

The program is called "50th Hit Parade" and this week's episode marks the 50th anniversary of this tradition on Fuji TV. The MCs for the show are Ninety Nine, Yamazaki Yuki and Ai Seiji who are Fuji TV announcers.

Yoiko, Takaandosushi, Hakata Hara Maru, Daikichi, Tetsu and Tomo, Robert, Sandwich Man, Woman Rush Hour, Hariichi, M - 1 Champion Silver Shari are the entertainers.

Meanwhile, "Dragon Ball Super" returns after the one-week hiatus with a new episode showcasing Gohan starring in a movie based on the life of the Great Saiyaman.

Also, in the episode, an evil criminal named Watagash escapes from Jaco's captivity and in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 74, Watagash ends up kidnapping Pan.
