For five minutes, residents of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, were exposed to pornography after the big public screen of a mall showed an adult movie clip. The technician was testing the screen by using his personal computer that was on autoplay, resulting in porn in his laptop shown unintentionally.
The worker left the laptop and screen unattended, unaware that his porn collection was being shown outside a busy Ningbo street, People’s Daily reported. The incident happened on Dec. 28 at around 10 a.m., shocking pedestrians and staff of shops nearby.
Embarrassing Content
A security guard of a nearby shop said, “The content of the video was really … I am too shy to talk about it,” Qiangjiang Evening News quoted.
Residents who saw the porn showing outside the NingboTianlun Square took videos of the porn show and posted it on Chinese social media. On Weibo, the incident did not shock users who found it funny. One user commented showing porn on the public screen was a good way to bring in shoppers to the mall.
The local police was notified immediately of the incident which resulted in the worker being brought to the police station for investigation. The operators of the NingboTianlun Square apologized for the scandal their technician caused, Daily Mail reported.
Jakarta Incident
A similar incident happened in Jakarta in late September. On a Friday afternoon rush hour, travelers along Jalan Prapanca, Kebayoran Baru is South Jakarta were exposed to the streaming of an adult video clip showing an Asian woman having sex with a man. The video included close-up shots of the woman’s erotic facial expressions.
Similar to what happened in China, the travelers and residents of Jakarta took out their smartphones, took photos and videos of the videotron showing the porn and posted it on Twitter using the hashtag #videotron. The hashtag became trending the same day.
