The latest details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a new look for Riku and King Mickey as well as, new updates on the sequel's development.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura teased that "Kingdom Heart" characters Riku and King Mickey will have a new look in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as he told Dengeki Online (via KH13) that Riku's outfit has been completed and it is based from the Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] 3rd anniversary artwork from July of 2016.
Both Riku and King Mickey will play a huge role in the events of "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Sora, Donald and Goofy will travel to new Disney Worlds in search of the Seven Guardians of Light, while Riku and King Mickey are tasked to find a battle-scarred Keyblade wielder, who will help them in the coming Keyblade War against Master Xehanort and his new Organization XIII.
Meanwhile, Nomura also revealed new updates regarding the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3" as he stated that "KH3" is right on track despite the developments of several "Kingdom Hearts" remastered titles.
Square Enix looks to be reworking all of the models in "Kingdom Hearts 3" and assured gaming fans that they are progressing forward as well as the timing for the announcement of new game details. The developers also teased that gamers could expect a "PS4 quality" made title in "Kingdom Hearts 3".
As for the lighting, Square Enix wanted to present it without hurting the atmosphere, and they are receiving guidance from Visual Works and experimenting through trial and error.
There were trial and errors about the "Situation Command" and how to display them so it will not look like a simple QTE, etc. "Situation Commands" are an evolution of "Kingdom Hearts 2's" Reaction Commands and would play a integral part in "Kingdom Hearts 3", GameZone reported.
Previous reports revealed that the Seven Guardians of Light could be new characters that have not yet introduced in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise and Japanese pop singer Utada Hikaru will be working on "Kingdom Hearts 3's" soundtrack.
Hikaru's father and manager Teruzane confirmed the reports via tweet stating they are eager to do the soundtrack of the game. The Japanese singer was very well known to making the sound tracks of the "Kingdom Hearts" series such as "Simple and Clean" and "Passion".
Square Enix teased "Kingdom Hearts 3" will introduce new Disney worlds both present and new ones that have not been added in the game. The confirmed worlds include "Hercules", "Tangled" and "Big Hero 6", while other worlds such as "Frozen", "Brave", "Wreck-it Ralph", "The Jungle Book", "Toy Story" etc. are rumored to be added in the game.
There are also rumors that "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be ported for the PC as Square Enix's recent focus on bringing previously console exclusive games to the PC. The Japanese developers plans to have an episodic style launch for "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Nomura stated in an interview that there are plans for a episodic release due to the fact that the scale of the sequel's story will be huge and he is overwhelmed about it.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
