Qualcomm has officially confirmed that it will be announcing the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 that will take place in Las Vegas. Its details have surfaced before the official announcement.
A Chinese leakster revealed on Video Cardoz an image of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with complete information of the specifications of the chipset. According to the leaked information on image, the Snapdragon 835 is an eight-core powerful processor with Kyro 280 architecture.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Specs
The Snapdragon 835 offers 50 percent power reduction when compared to the Snapdragon 801 chipset that powered various 2013 smartphones like Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note Edge, Sony Xperia Z3, Z3+, LG G3, HTC One M8, OnePlus One and Xiaomi Mi 4.
The eight cores of Snapdragon 835 chipset is divided into two set of quad cores. The first four performances cores clocks at the speed of 2.45 GHz and the other 4X efficiency cores work at 1.9 GHz, GizmoChina reported.
The SD 835 SoC includes Adreno 540 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) that can speed up the graphics rendering up to 25 percent. It can produce 60x more display colors. It carries support for DX12, OpenGL, ES and Vulkan applications. It also features DPU (Display Processing Unit) and VPU (Video Processing Unit)
It has Qualcomm Spectra 180 camera that will support smooth zooming, fast autofocus and will capture true colors. It also comes with Qualcomm's Haven security feature that will include full biometric suite.
It also includes Snapdragon X16 LTE modem which is said to be the world's first gigabit-class modem. The processor also comes with Hexagon DSP (Digital Signal Provider) for managing separate workloads seamlessly. It also houses Qualcomm's Acoustic audio to provide good audio experience on. Finally, it also equipped with Qualcomm's IZat location that delivers better GPS tracking.
