Asus Zenfone is undeniably one of rising brands this year. The upcoming CES 2017 event has been highly anticipated as the smartphone brand is expected to introduce their latest line-up ready for this year's competition.
One of the highly anticipated smartphone from Asus this year is the Zenfone AR. It gained attention over the past weeks because of its promising augmented reality feature, making it the second Google Tango smartphone.
This means that users will be able to explore new worlds with particular apps found in Google store. Being a Tango device, Zenfone AR may be able to recognize and map physical spaces, and project virtual effects in a real-world setting.
As of now, features of the Zenfone AR remain elusive to consumers, much more its potential price point. However, in a recent turn of events, it seems like Qualcomm accidentally revealed one of the important specs that Zenfone AR has, according to GSM Arena. Based on the post made by Qualcomm, the upcoming Zenfone AR is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset.
In contrast to the elusive leaks or information about Zenfone AR, specs of the upcoming Asus Zenfone 4 has been quite rampant online. Such details has been highly attributed to an unannounced Asus smartphone with model number X00GD, according to Phone Arena.
Consequently, if such rumored connection is true, then Zenfone 4 will presumably have an octa-core 1.5 GHz running Android 7.0 Nougat, 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 5.2-inch display with just 720 x 1280 pixels, and a stellar battery life under its 4850 mAh battery, as mentioned by the same site.
Similar to Asus Zenfone AR, the Zenfone 4 still lacks a price and release period, but most probably the company will release its latest smartphones following the CES event. It is also good to note that the company assured that their product for this year will not just come with advanced functionality and performance, for it would likewise be at a competitive price. Thus making it a double threat to its competitors.
