Square Enix, along with the "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata greet players for the new year. Furthermore, they promise to give back to the game's fan base that helped the new game a success.

According to the Square Enix Blog, the New Year's post featured Tabata's gratitude to the "Final Fantasy XV" community for their continued support and promised to give back to them within 2017. He further adds that he does not believe that the development of the current "Final Fantasy" game does not end with its release.

This is exemplified by the incoming DLCs to be released for the game this year, and possibly next year as well. After all, there are some criticisms with the games convoluted story, and the DLCs are aimed to patch the holes and make the story more streamlined. However, it is yet to be known as to whether or not these things are already planned or expected by the players.

Additionally, aside from Tabata's expression of gratitude, his post also details some of the achievements of the game. Chief among them include the release of the CG movie "Kingsglaive," as well as the considerable efforts put into translating the game to serve a wider audience.

Meanwhile, according to BBC, popular idol Ariana Grande will be featured in a "Final Fantasy" game. Her avatar will be used as an avatar for the "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius," a free mobile game made by Square Enix.

Grande took to Twitter and wrote about how excited she was for her character feature in "Exvius." Her excitement is understandable, as "Final Fantasy" is still one of the most popular game series of all time. The looks of her avatar is based from the cover photo for her latest album "Dangerous Woman."
