New details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature four possible playable characters and Gladiolus fighting Gilgamesh in the game's first DLC episode.
Several rumors are making round regarding the possible DLC playable characters in "Final Fantasy XV" during its post-launch plans as Square Enix producer Haruyoshi Sawatari teased a new DLC character could be added to in the sequel soon.
Four characters in the "FFXV" are teased as DLC characters and these are Lunafreya Nox Flueret, Iris Amicita, Aranea Highwind and Cor Leonis, iTech Post reported. Luna as playable character has been hinted during past reports as Sawatari stated that they will add her in the party if the gaming fans have demanded it.
As for Iris, Cor and Aranea, these three have been used in "Final Fantasy XV" as guest characters to support the main party of Noctis, Ignis, Prompto and Gladiolus. Iris is the younger sister of Gladiolus who escaped the Kingdom of Lucis after Niflheim took over and joined the group sometime within the game.
Aranea is he captain of the Third Army Corps 86th Airborne Unit of the Nilfleim Empire and also a former mercenary. She has fought Noctis's group during their first meeting and has since been an ally of sorts during the game's main storyline.
Cor is a legendary fighter from the Kingdom of Lucis and is known as as the "Marshal" by Noctis and his group, due to his status in the Crownsguard, the royalty's personal guard in Lucian Military. His primary arm is Kotetsu and his secondary arm is Kikuichimonji.
Meanwhile, a classic character from the "Final Fantasy" franchise will return in "Final Fantas XV's" first DLC Episode Gladiolus.
According to Vg 24/7 (via Techno Buffalo), the episode Gladiolus DLC will feature a possible boss fight against Gilgamesh. "FFXV" producer Haruyoshi Sawatari teased that Gilgamesh will be appearing in the game and hinted that gamers will see him in episode Gladiolus. Sawatari also says that players will be able to travel beyond the main game’s map into new locations.
Gilgamesh first turned up in "Final Fantasy V" as a humorous sub-villain who eclipsed his boss’ popularity. However, events at the end of the game saw him banished from his plane into unknown beyond.
Since then, Gilgamesh has turned up in different games as a summon spell, ally, or enemy in several titles such as "Final Fantasy VIII", "IX", "XI", "XII", "XIII", "XIII-2", "Type-0", "Dissidia", and "World of Final Fantasy".
Game director Hajime Tabata stated in an interview that it will take more than a year for "Final Fantasy XV" to develop for the PC, which hints a 2018 release as he and his team wanted to provide a better version of the game for users compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
PC users were adamant about having "Final Fantasy XV" for the PC going to the point that they made online petition for Square Enix to think and reconsider several years back due to being focused on the console versions.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
