Avid "Blindspot" viewers will finally uncover the truth behind the NBC show's cliffhanger episode that showed Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) potential life-threatening attack, as well as the aftermath of Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) decision to wipe Roman's (Luke Mitchell) memories with a drug. Recently, the series' creator teased that the upcoming episodes will also reveal the truth about many of the show's mysterious plots.
The midseason finale of "Blindspot" Season 2 featured a suspenseful episode that depicted several cliffhanger scenes such as Patterson's fight against Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) where the two grappled for the gun just as a gunshot rang out. In an interview with TV Guide, series creator Martin Gero teased that the said FBI agent will need the help of the friends to survive the incident. He also commented that Patterson will find herself in "a lot of trouble."
As for Jane and Roman, the FBI team will be frustrated with Jane's decision to inject her brother with the memory erasing drug, according to Gero. However, it is still unclear if Roman will end up being part of the good guys, similar to how Jane chose to live her life after the FBI found her in Season 1.
Despite Jane's intention to give Roman another chance at a new life, there may be a possibility that the Sandstorm member may betray her. Described as a "very volatile" and dangerous man, Roman will also face a different FBI treatment as compared to Jane given his terrorist background.
Moreover, Gero commented that the remaining episodes of "Blindspot" Season 2 will unveil the answers to many of the viewers' questions about the NBC show, its characters and plot. Some of the secrets that will be revealed include the revelation of Shepherd's (Michelle Hurd) plans and more.
Meanwhile, the series creator shared in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that viewers may soon learn something about Patterson's personal life. He teased that the said character's avid fans will be happy with the upcoming episode 14 since "there might be a little something there" that will hint of Patterson's name.
"Blindspot" Season returns to the small screens on Jan. 4, Wednesday on NBC. Watch a teaser clip below:
