HP's new Envy Curved All-in-One 34 PC improves upon its predecessors with the new Kaby Lake processors from Intel. The new all-in-one PC was introduced at the Consumers Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas.
The biggest change is where the speakers and other hardware are placed. Instead of the usual bulky screen, all of the hardware components are installed in the machine's base. It takes the weight and bulkiness off of the curved screen which is supposed to look slim in the first place.
Fans will be glad to know that the HP Envy Curved AIO 34 PC has a 3440 x 1440 IPS display and speakers made by Bang & Olufsen, PC World reported. B&O also helped in developing the LG V20 sound systems and the AIO PC should boast high quality sounds.
Customers will be able to choose from an i5 or i7 Kaby Lake processor for their models. They can also choose to include or upgrade a discrete graphics card such as the RX 460 from AMD or the seemingly outdated GTX 950 MX from NVIDIA.
HP's new Envy Curved AIO 34 can also be installed with up to 256GB SSD and 2TB HDD for storage of huge media files, CNET reported. The SSD could be used to house the operating system and other programs so that they will instantly load as they are significantly faster compared to the traditional mechanical HDDS.
The ports include both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. There are also USB-C, USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 ports for higher versatility and functionality when it comes to peripherals and outputs. HDMI-in and out are also included.
HP will be selling the Envy Curved AIO 34 starting on Jan. 11 at their website. The price will start from $1730 for the base Intel Core i5 Kaby Lake processor model.
