A video surfaced yesterday showcasing an advance display of AMD running Ryzen CPU and Vega GPU hours before the start of CES 2017. On the said advance preview of Zen in action, a Star Wars: Battlefront game was being played at 4K resolution and was getting a solid 60 frame per second.
Although details are still scarce up to now, the setup accordingly includes 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen chip running at 3.4 GHz and the mysterious Vega GPU, according to Think Computers the original video source. Thus, making AMD's upcoming Zen based processor and Vega GPU promising and more enticing for gamers.
With the displayed performance of AMD Ryzen coupled with a powerful GPU, it cannot be denied that AMD will somehow be a threat for Intel this year. After a few attempts of dominating the CPU industry, AMD might be on the right track with their Ryzen processor leading the way and as what recent benchmarks would likewise suggest, according to Yahoo.
As of the current writing, AMD has yet to reveal the full specs and performance of Ryzen.
